ElderGrace is a cohousing condominium neighborhood in Santa Fe for people over 55, designed through a partnership between Members and the Housing Trust. Our community consists of 28 one- and two-bedroom condominium homes that balance personal privacy and group participation, amidst people who know and care about each other. The green built homes are situated in a close-knit neighborhood laid out by the residents themselves to accommodate their needs, aspirations, and quality of life. The elegant yet utilitarian common house invites individual and shared living activities. ElderGrace is a LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot project and carries an Enterprise Green Communities designation. The Housing Trust is a nonprofit affordable housing organization dedicated to improving lives through affordable housing options.

"The Grace of these Elders has been gravely earned and sorely paid for.
The winds blew
The storms raged
And they stood like pillars . . .
Life is worth the living of it. Do it with your whole heart."

— from the poem "Elder Grace" by Maya Angelou

ElderGrace received the 2010 Livable Communities Award for its exemplary design and sustainable practices. Watch the you-tube video about our community now:
