About Us

ElderGrace is a group of independent older folks who want to stay independent and age with grace and dignity. We believe that living in an intentional community will help make this possible and that service to the broader community is a path to graceful aging and wisdom.

We are people who want to simplify our lives. We intend to minimize our wants, promote green practices within the community, grow some of our own food, and “walk softly” on our earth.

We are a diverse group of people who would like our community to be even more diverse. We are not interested in just retreating into our own comfort zones as we grow older.

Some of us have been working on the creation of ElderGrace for over four years, others have joined along the way, and some have just found us. We are all committed to the ideal of an evolving ElderGrace. Our policies have evolved over the past four years and will continue to do so. ‘Who we are’ will change as each new member joins the ElderGrace community.
